qq̄q̄ Elastic Scatterings and Thermalization of Quark Matter and Antiquark Matter
Thermalization of quark matter and antiquark matter is studied with quarkquark-antiquark as well as quark-antiquark-antiquark elastic scatterings. Squared amplitudes of qqq̄ → qqq̄ and qq̄q̄ → qq̄q̄ at order αs are derived in perturbative QCD. Solved by a new technique, solutions of transport equations with the squared amplitudes indicate that the scatterings qqq̄ → qqq̄ and qq̄q̄ → qq̄q̄ shorten the therm...
متن کاملThermalization of quark-gluon matter by 2-to-2 and 3-to-3 elastic scatterings
Thermalization of quark-gluon matter is studied with a transport equation that includes contributions of 2-to-2 and 3-to-3 elastic scatterings. Thermalization time is related to the squared amplitudes for the elastic scatterings that are calculated in perturbative QCD. PACS numbers: 24.85.+p;12.38.Mh;12.38.Bx;25.75.Nq
متن کاملDouble parton scatterings in b-quark pairs production at the LHC
A sizable rate of events where two pairs of b-quarks are produced contemporarily is foreseen at the CERN LHC, as a consequence of the large parton luminosity. At very high energies both single and the double parton scatterings contribute to the process, the latter mechanisms, although power suppressed, giving the dominant contribution to the integrated cross section. متن کاملA multi-channel Poissonian model for multi-parton scatterings
1 The simplest Poissonian model A standard way to introduce multiple parton interactions in Montecarlo codes is to assume a Poissonian distribution of multiple parton collisions, with average number depending on the value of the impact parameter. The motivations were discussed long ago in several articles [1] [2] [3]: One introduces the three dimensional parton densityD(x, b), namely the averag...
متن کاملHypercentral Constituent Quark Model and Isospin for the Baryon Static Properties
So far the static properties of hadrons have been introduced in various models. The static properties of hadrons (charge radius, magnetic moment, etc.) are useful for understanding the quark structure of hadron. In this work we have introduced the hypercentral constituent quark and isospin dependent potentials. Here constituent quarks interact with each other via a potential in which we have ta...
